I qualified as a General Nurse at Charing Cross Hospital in 1983 and following this enjoyed varied experience in hospital nursing. I had a particular interest in Intensive Care and became a sister on the busy Intensive Therapy Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

I moved to York, in 1993, with my family and after briefly working with the District Nursing Team undertook training to become a Health Visitor.

In 1997 I joined the health visiting team at Minster Health, where I worked happily until June 2006 when I took the opportunity to become part of the enthusiastic Practice Nurse team at the practice.

The post is allowing me to develop areas of interest in chronic disease and respiratory care whilst continuing to work with children and their families.

In my spare time I enjoy drawing and painting, and being dragged out for long country walks by the family dog!
